Our Mission

Bird City Gardens is a project to empower people to protect birds and pollinators and to take joy in connecting with nature. Our demonstration project, a 5,000-square-foot empty lot in Stillwater, will be transformed into a haven made up of native plants, trees, and habitats for birds and beneficial insects. Bird monitoring and live listening technology is already installed (download the Haikubox listening app for your desktop or mobile device and find BirdSongConnect Site1 on the map in Stillwater). Educational programs, how-to instruction, and activities for all ages will follow.

Sustainable Stillwater MN is one of our partners. Here is their press release. https://www.sustainablestillwatermn.org/.../introducing...

Planting and volunteering will begin in the spring of 2025. Use the Contact form above to join us in this awesome new project and to stay in the loop!

Inspired Garden Design

Mulberry Ravine Bird Station will have all the information you will need to create your own native habitat garden, or incorporate native plants into your existing landscape.

Educational Adventure

Students, teachers, and researchers are welcome to do field studies in the Mulberry Ravine Bird Station. We welcome class visits to learn about habitats and native species. Got bird questions? Use our Chatbot, above, to search out info.

Explore and Enjoy

Simply enjoy immersion in nature, view the habitat levels and marvel at how birds adapt to their native environment. There will be benches, paths, and gathering areas.
